Dr. Sharma is a physician by initial training and has also completed his doctorate in Preventive Medicine and Public Health from The Ohio State University. He has worked in Community Health for more than 20 years at all levels: Local level (Columbus Health Department, Omaha Healthy Start Program, Lead Safe Omaha Coalition); State level (Nebraska Health & Human Services, Ohio Department of Health); National level (ASHA, CDC, USEPA); and International level (India, Italy, Mongolia, Nepal, UAE, UK, Vietnam). His research interests are in designing and evaluating theory- based health education and health promotion programs, alternative and complementary systems of health, and community-based participatory research.

Thomas E. Woods JD
Attorney

Mr. Woods is an Attorney by profession with a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School. He received his B.A. and M.A. from Notre Dame in political science. Prior to his present 25 year career in private practice, he was the first Chairman and Executive Director of the Michigan Crime Victims Compensation Board, served as General Counsel of the Michigan Senate and taught political science for several years at Eastern Michigan University, and a year at the National University of Ireland, University College Dublin. He is a Certified Local Hearing Officer in special education for the Department of Education, a Certified Mediator in various Michigan Courts and has a general law practice. Mr. Woods currently serves as Executive Director of the American Alcohol and Drug Information Foundation, the publisher of JADE, and its sister organization, the Michigan Council on Alcohol Problems.

Jamie performs all office work associated with American Alcohol and Drug Information Foundation, publisher of JADE, and Michigan Council on Alcohol Problems, an AADIF related entity. Jamie is trained as a legal secretary and para-legal as well as in the desktop publishing area.
